Mya-Rose Craig biography

Mya-Rose Craig is a British author and ornithologist known for her work in environmental activism and nature writing. She is recognised for her efforts to promote diversity in conservation and for her engagement with young people on environmental issues. Craig is the founder of Black2Nature, an organisation established to increase access to nature for visible minority ethnic communities.

Her debut book for young readers, We Have a Dream, was published by Magic Cat Publishing in 2021. The book features the stories of thirty young environmentalists from around the world, highlighting their activism and the challenges they face. Craig’s writing aims to inspire young people to take action for the planet and to amplify underrepresented voices in the environmental movement.

In 2020, Mya-Rose Craig was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Bristol in recognition of her work in promoting diversity in nature conservation. Her book We Have a Dream was published in 2021.
