Imogen Russell Williams is a British writer, critic, and author known for her work in children’s literature. She has contributed reviews and articles to publications such as The Guardian and The Times Literary Supplement, focusing on children’s and young adult books. Williams is also recognised for her expertise in poetry and picture books, often highlighting trends and developments within the genre.
In addition to her critical work, Imogen Russell Williams has authored several children’s books. Her titles include The Big Book of the UK, illustrated by Louise Lockhart and published by Ladybird in 2019. This non-fiction book introduces young readers to the culture, history, and geography of the United Kingdom. She has also written The Big Book of the UK: Facts, folklore and fascinations from around the United Kingdom, which explores traditions, inventions, and notable figures from across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
