Trygve Skaug (born 1985) is a Norwegian songwriter, vocalist, and poet from Trøgstad.
He has released several studio albums, including Martyren (2014), Seine natt i desember (2015), Sanger du skal få når jeg dør (2017), Sanger du skal få når du våkner (2020), and Sanger du skal få når vi er vektløse (2022).
Skaug holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration and Leadership from Høgskolen i Oslo og Akershus.
Since 2012 he has also been recognised as an “instapoet”, publishing poetry via Instagram and other social media channels; his work has been analysed in academic research into “instapoetry”.
In 2022 he made his debut as a children’s author with the picture book If I Were Prime Minister, which has been translated into several languages.
He has been awarded the Bjørg Vik Prize in 2021.
