Tom Percival biography

Tom Percival is a British author, illustrator, and musician renowned for his contributions to children’s literature. He writes and illustrates picture books and has also created cover illustrations for the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy. Percival’s work often explores themes of emotional growth, social connections, and community.

His acclaimed Big Bright Feelings series includes titles such as Ruby’s Worry, Perfectly Norman, and Ravi’s Roar, which have been translated into multiple languages. These books aim to help children understand and manage their emotions. Percival’s picture books have received recognition, with Meesha Makes Friends being shortlisted for the 2021 Oscar’s Book Prize.

In addition to his picture books, Percival has authored the Little Legends and Dream Defenders series, which are aimed at older children. He is also a member of the band Grasscourt and has created animations, including Goodbye Rainclouds for BBC Children in Need in 2020.
