Annemarie Allan is an author of novels for children and young adults. She studied at Stirling University and has worked as a teacher, a librarian, and at the Scottish Arts Council.
Her first published novel, Hox, was released by Floris Books in the Kelpies series on 18 October 2007 after it won the 2007 Kelpies Prize. Hox was shortlisted for the Royal Mail Awards for Scottish Children’s Books 2008 in the 8-11 category.
Allan’s second novel, Breaker, was published by Floris Books in the Kelpies series on 26 March 2009. Her third novel, Ushig, was published by Floris Books in the Kelpies series on 25 March 2010 and was shortlisted for the 2011 Essex Children’s Book Award.
Her novel Charlie’s Promise was published by Cranachan Publishing in 2017.
