Alice Haworth-Booth biography

Alice Haworth-Booth is a British children’s book author and illustrator. She studied illustration at Camberwell College of Arts in London. Her work combines detailed pen and ink drawings with whimsical, often nature-inspired themes.

Haworth-Booth has written and illustrated several picture books, including The Story of Life (2021) and Wild Child (2019), which explore natural history and animal behaviour. Her illustrations have been praised for their intricate line work and gentle storytelling style, aimed at engaging young readers.

In addition to her picture books, Haworth-Booth contributes artwork to various publications and exhibitions. Her style often features a blend of scientific observation and creative narrative, making complex natural subjects accessible for children.

She is represented by Andrew Nurnberg Associates. Haworth-Booth’s book The Story of Life was shortlisted for the Klaus Flugge Prize in 2021, recognising outstanding newcomers to children’s literature.
