Yas Necati is a writer, editor, campaigner and activist. In 2015, she contributed to I Call Myself A Feminist, a collection asking twenty-five young women what feminism meant to them at that time. She co-founded Campaign4Consent, campaigned for better sex education in schools, and took part in the No More Page 3 campaign.
Necati co-wrote What is Consent? Why is it Important? And Other Big Questions with Louise Spilsbury. The paperback was published on 8 November 2018 with ISBN 9781526300928, and is aimed at readers from around age 9, including National Curriculum Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. The book explains consent, personal boundaries, how to say no, and what to do if consent has been violated.
