William Bee is a British children’s author and illustrator. He was born in London, but now lives in the English countryside.
His work includes picture books and early reader titles, often featuring a character called Stanley and focusing on everyday scenes and environments.
Bee formerly worked in fashion and commercial design, having worked for such houses as Issey Miyake and Paul Smith.
Outside of writing he races vintage sports cars and enjoys skiing.
His books by 2017-2019 include William Bee’s Wonderful World of Trucks (2017), William Bee’s Wonderful World of Farm Machines and Tractors (2018), Arty! The First Artist in Space (2019), and others.
William Bee’s “Stanley” picture books are being adapted into a CBeebies animated television series.
