Thalia Wallis is a relational psychotherapist who supports young victims of crime. She also delivers psycho-educational workshops in schools to increase students’ mental well-being and resilience.
Her books for education and youth settings include What Does Consent Really Mean?, a graphic novel written with Pete Wallis and illustrated by Joseph Wilkins. The book follows a group of teenagers discussing consent, peer influence and healthy relationships after the sexual assault of a classmate, and it includes sexual-health resources for students and teachers.
Wallis co-wrote What are you staring at?, a comic about restorative justice in schools, with Pete Wallis and Joseph Wilkins. The book is designed for children aged 8 to 13 and uses the story of Jake and Ryan to introduce restorative meetings, emotional literacy and respectful problem-solving in school settings.
She co-authored Talking Consent: 16 Workshops on Relationship and Sex Education for Schools and Other Youth Settings with Pete Wallis, with illustrations by Joseph Wilkins. Published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers on 21 October 2020, the 304-page book provides lesson plans and workshops on consent, pornography, sexting and related relationship and sex education topics for young people aged 12 to 18.
