Nicholas Oldland is a Canadian author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He is the creator of the Life in the Wild picture book series, which features animal characters and explores themes of friendship and nature. The series includes titles such as Big Bear Hug, The Busy Beaver, and Making the Moose Out of Life. Oldland’s books are published by Kids Can Press.
In addition to writing and illustrating, Oldland has a background in animation and design. His distinctive illustration style is characterised by bold shapes and expressive characters. The Life in the Wild series has been recognised for its humour and visual storytelling.
One of Oldland’s notable works, Big Bear Hug, was published by Kids Can Press in 2009.
