Mikki Lish is an Australian author best known for co-authoring children’s fiction with Kelly Ngai. Together, they have written the House on Hoarder Hill series, which includes The House on Hoarder Hill and its sequel, The Magician’s Map. The series is published by Chicken House and is aimed at middle-grade readers.
Lish and Ngai’s debut, The House on Hoarder Hill, was published in 2020. The story follows siblings Hedy and Spencer as they visit their grandfather’s mysterious house, encountering puzzles, magic, and supernatural elements. The sequel, The Magician’s Map, continues the siblings’ adventures and was published in 2021.
Mikki Lish’s background includes work in television and film development, and she has experience in scriptwriting. Her collaboration with Kelly Ngai began after they met through their work in the entertainment industry. Their partnership focuses on creating imaginative stories for children, blending mystery and fantasy elements.
The House on Hoarder Hill was longlisted for the 2021 Branford Boase Award, which recognises outstanding debut novels for children.
