Lou Treleaven biography

Lou Treleaven is a British children’s author who writes picture books, early readers, chapter books and middle-grade fiction. Her published books include Professor McQuark and the Oojamaflip, The Snowflake Mistake, Not Yet a Yeti, Letter to Pluto, Homework on Pluto and Turns Out I’m an Alien.

Her first picture book, Professor McQuark and the Oojamaflip, was published by Maverick Arts Publishing in 2016. Her Penpals on Pluto series began with Letter to Pluto, a chapter book set in the year 2317 and told through letters between Earth and Pluto.

Treleaven is represented by the Caroline Wakeman Literary Agency. Her listed published work includes books with Maverick Arts Publishing, Buster Books, Scholastic and Imagine That.

She has also written plays published by Lazy Bee Scripts, contributed to Writing Magazine, and wrote the chapter on social media for writers in the second edition of Handbook of Creative Writing.

Her picture book The Snowflake Mistake, illustrated by Maddie Frost, was read by Suranne Jones on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
