Joe Lillington biography

Joe Lillington is a British author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He studied illustration at Falmouth University, graduating in 2014. Lillington’s illustrations are featured in a range of children’s books, often focusing on historical and non-fiction themes.

His debut picture book as both author and illustrator, Far From Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog, was published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books in 2016. The story follows a dog’s journey across the world, introducing young readers to different cultures and landscapes through detailed illustrations.

Lillington has also illustrated several non-fiction titles for children. Notably, he illustrated Egyptian Myths by Jean Menzies, published by Nosy Crow in 2022, and Greek Myths by Jean Menzies, published by Nosy Crow in 2020. His work on these books brings ancient stories to life with vibrant and accessible artwork.
