Jennifer Lynn Barnes biography

Jennifer Lynn Barnes is an American author known for her young adult novels. She has written more than twenty books for young readers. Barnes is the author of the The Inheritance Games series, which includes The Inheritance Games (2020), The Hawthorne Legacy (2021), The Final Gambit (2022), and The Brothers Hawthorne (2023). The series has appeared on the New York Times Best Seller list.

Her other works include the Raised by Wolves series, the Debutantes series, and the Fixer series. Barnes has also written the Natural series, beginning with The Naturals (2013), followed by Killer Instinct (2014), All In (2015), Bad Blood (2016), and the novella Twelve (2017).

She holds advanced degrees in psychology, including a PhD from Yale University. Barnes has received the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Young Adult Novel. Her books have been published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and Penguin Random House.

The Inheritance Games was nominated for the Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Novel in 2021.
