Christopher Edge biography

Christopher Edge is a children’s author. Before becoming a writer, he worked as an English teacher, editor and publisher. His books for 9–12 readers include Escape Room, Black Hole Cinema Club, The Longest Night of Charlie Noon, The Infinite Lives of Maisie Day, The Jamie Drake Equation and The Many Worlds of Albie Bright.

Twelve Minutes to Midnight by Christopher Edge was published on 2 February 2012. The story is set in 1899 and centres on Penelope Treadwell, a thirteen-year-old magazine owner investigating strange events at Bedlam.

The Infinite Lives of Maisie Day won the STEAM Children’s Book Prize. Four of Edge’s novels were nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal. The Many Worlds of Albie Bright was inspired by quantum physics and the Many Worlds Interpretation of parallel universes.

Edge also writes middle-grade adventure, thriller and interactive fiction. How to Steal the Future is a 2026 book for readers aged 9 to 14, in which twelve-year-old Drew enters a maze of challenges and dangers to try to save his sister.
