Virginia Ironside biography

Virginia Ironside is a journalist, agony aunt and author. She served for many years as an editor for Woman and the Sunday Mirror, and her journalism has included regular columns in The Independent and The Oldie.

Her writing spans children’s fiction, adult fiction, non-fiction, self-help and memoir.

Her adult fiction includes No! I Don’t Want to Join a Bookclub, a Penguin paperback published on 5 July 2007. The book is written as the diary of Marie Sharp, a woman approaching later life, and the Penguin edition has 256 pages.

Her non-fiction about ageing includes You’re Old, I’m Old . . . Get Used to It!, published by Plume in paperback on 18 January 2012, with an ebook edition published on 7 October 2010.
