Ruthann Godollei is an artist, illustrator and educator. She is a professor of art at Macalester College, and her artwork has been exhibited internationally. She teaches printmaking and has also taught two-dimensional design, women’s and gender studies, political art, and performance and installation art.
Godollei co-authored Road Show: Art Cars and the Museum of the Streets with Eric Dregni. The 160-page book was published by Chicago Review Press on 1 September 2009 and examines art cars as folk art, social commentary and public performance.
She has participated in and organised art car events for more than twenty years. Her practical art book How to Create Your Own Gig Posters, Band T-Shirts, Album Covers, & Stickers covers screenprinting, photocopy art, mixed-media collage and other poster-making styles for creating band merchandise and visual identity.
Godollei illustrated Ten Thousand Waves, a 112-page poetry collection by Wang Ping. The ebook was published by Wings Press on 1 April 2014.
