Raman Prinja biography

Raman Prinja is a British astrophysicist and author of children’s non-fiction books focused on astronomy and space science. He is a Professor of Astrophysics at University College London, where he specialises in the study of stars and their evolution. Prinja has written a range of educational books aimed at young readers, introducing complex scientific concepts in accessible language.

His publications include Planetarium, which is part of the Welcome to the Museum series and was published by Big Picture Press. He is also the author of Night Sky Watcher and Space: The Whole Whizz-Bang Story. Prinja’s books often feature detailed illustrations and are designed to encourage curiosity about the universe among children and young people.

In addition to his writing, Prinja is active in science communication and outreach, delivering talks and workshops to schools and the public. His work aims to inspire the next generation of scientists by making astronomy engaging and understandable.
