Pip Jones is a British author known for writing children’s books. Her published works include the SQUISHY MCFLUFF series, which began with Squishy McFluff: The Invisible Cat! in 2014, illustrated by Ella Okstad and published by Faber & Faber. The series has multiple titles, including Squishy McFluff: Supermarket Sweep! and Squishy McFluff: The Invisible Cat Meets Mad Nana Dot.
Jones is also the author of the Izzy Gizmo picture books, illustrated by Sara Ogilvie and published by Simon & Schuster. The first book, Izzy Gizmo, was released in 2017, followed by Izzy Gizmo and the Invention Convention in 2019. Her other works include Daddy’s Sandwich (2015), Time for Bed, Fred! (2015), and Grandma and the Great Gourd (2016).
Jones’s books have been shortlisted for several awards. Squishy McFluff: The Invisible Cat! was shortlisted for the 2015 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Izzy Gizmo was shortlisted for the 2020 British Book Awards in the Children’s Illustrated & Non-Fiction Book of the Year category.
Her work is published by Faber & Faber and Simon & Schuster. Jones’s books have been translated into multiple languages. Izzy Gizmo was selected for the 2020 BookTrust Storytime Prize longlist.
