Peter Bognanni is an American novelist who has written for adults and teenagers. His debut novel, The House of Tomorrow, was published on 17 December 2009. The book follows Sebastian Prendergast, a teenager raised in a geodesic dome by his grandmother, and the novel won the Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction at the 2010 Los Angeles Times Book Awards. Bognanni teaches at Macalester College.
Bognanni moved into young adult fiction with Things I’m Seeing Without You, published on 3 October 2017. That novel centres on Tess Fowler after the suicide of her online boyfriend Jonah and deals with grief, depression, suicide and digital privacy. He followed it with This Book Is Not Yet Rated on 9 April 2019, a young adult novel about Ethan, a film-loving teenager trying to save a Minneapolis art-house cinema from redevelopment. His next young adult novel, How to Lose Yourself Completely, is scheduled for publication on 2 June 2026.
