Lily Dyu biography

Lily Dyu is a British author of children’s non-fiction books. She writes real-life stories for young readers, with published work focusing on environmental action, outdoor adventure and people making change.

Earth Heroes: Twenty Inspiring Stories of People Saving Our World was published by Nosy Crow in 2019. The book profiles environmental activists and changemakers from around the world, including Greta Thunberg, David Attenborough, Yin Yuzhen and Isatou Ceesay. It was shortlisted for the 2020 Blue Peter Book Award in the Best Book with Facts category.

Fantastic Female Adventurers: Truly Amazing Tales of Women Exploring the World was published by Zephyr in 2019. The book tells fourteen real-life stories about women explorers and adventurers, including Ann Daniels, Gwen Moffat, Mira Rai, Ellen MacArthur, Helen Sharman, Anna McNuff, Sarah Outen and Misba Khan.

Fastpacking: Multi-day Running Adventures was published in paperback on 31 January 2019. The 200-page guide introduces multi-day running journeys, includes twelve route ideas, and covers preparation topics such as accommodation, safety, equipment, clothing, nutrition and hydration.

The World’s Wildest Places: And the People Protecting Them was included among new non-fiction children’s books for summer 2022. The Amazing Power of Activism: … and how people can change the world was published in hardback on 3 February 2026.
