Letizia Diamante biography

Letizia Diamante is a science communicator and author with a background in molecular biology. She holds a PhD in biochemistry and has worked in scientific research and communication roles. Diamante has contributed to science outreach through writing, public engagement, and educational projects.

Her debut children’s book, Leafy the Pet Leaf, was published by Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in 2021. The book introduces young readers to the world of plants and plant science, combining storytelling with factual information. Leafy the Pet Leaf is illustrated by Benedetta Giaufret and Enrica Rusina.

Letizia Diamante has also written articles and resources for educational and scientific organisations. Her work aims to make science accessible and engaging for children and the wider public. In 2021, Leafy the Pet Leaf was published by Kew Publishing.
