Josephine Angelini biography

Josephine Angelini is an American writer from Massachusetts. She studied theatre at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a focus on the classics. Her young adult series Starcrossed is inspired by Greek mythology, and her Worldwalker Trilogy is inspired by the Salem witch hunts.

Starcrossed is the opening book in the Starcrossed series. The 2021 Macmillan Children’s Books paperback edition is aimed at readers aged 12 to 16 and runs to 560 pages. The story centres on Helen Hamilton and Lucas Delos, whose relationship is shaped by an ancient curse and by a modern mythology setting involving gods and mortals.

Angelini’s published books include Starcrossed, Dreamless and Goddess in the Starcrossed sequence, and Trial by Fire, Firewalker and Witch’s Pyre in the Worldwalker Trilogy. She has also written What She Found in the Woods, a young adult thriller about Magdalena, who is sent away after a scandal at her New York City private school and becomes involved in a mystery after a body is found near the woods.

What She Found in the Woods was published by Macmillan Children’s Books on 25 July 2019 as a 384-page paperback for readers aged 12 and over.
