John Patrick Green is an American author and illustrator known for his work in children’s graphic novels. He began his career illustrating books and comics, and has contributed to several collaborative projects in the field of children’s literature. Green is the creator of the InvestiGators series, which features alligator detectives Mango and Brash as they solve mysteries. The first book in the series, InvestiGators, was published by First Second Books in 2020. The series has since expanded to include multiple titles, each following the adventures of the main characters in a humorous, action-packed style.
In addition to the InvestiGators series, Green has worked on other graphic novels and contributed illustrations to various projects. His work is characterised by a focus on engaging young readers through visual storytelling and accessible humour. Green’s books are published by First Second Books, an imprint of Macmillan.
In 2020, the first book in the InvestiGators series was published by First Second Books.
