Emily Barr is a British author known for her work in both adult and young adult fiction. She began her writing career as a journalist before turning to novel writing. Barr’s debut novel, Backpack, was published in 2001. She has since written a number of novels for adults, often featuring themes of travel and self-discovery.
Barr expanded into young adult fiction with the publication of The One Memory of Flora Banks in 2017. This novel follows a teenage girl with anterograde amnesia and has been published by Penguin. Barr has continued to write for young adults, with subsequent titles including The Truth and Lies of Ella Black and We Hear Voices.
Her work has been published by Penguin and other major publishers. The One Memory of Flora Banks was published in 2017.
