David Ouimet is an author, illustrator, artist and musician. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, and his creative work has included album covers, books and magazines. His artwork has been exhibited at the Museum of American Illustration.
Ouimet writes and illustrates picture books. His books include I Go Quiet and I Get Loud, both of which use words and images to explore voice, expression and connection for young readers.
I Go Quiet is a 48-page picture book by Ouimet about a young girl who feels unheard, turns to books and imagination, and begins to recognise the power of her own voice. I Get Loud is a 48-page companion book in which a girl finds her voice, forms a friendship, journeys to a new land and uses expression to reconnect with her friend.
