Catherine Jacob biography

Catherine Jacob is a British author and journalist. She has written several picture books for children, including There’s a Troll on My Toilet, Santa’s Special Gift, The Grunt and The Grouch, and Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Bogey? Her books are published by Scholastic and Egmont.

Jacob’s debut picture book, There’s a Troll on My Toilet, was published by Scholastic in 2018. She has also written The Grunt and The Grouch series, illustrated by Chris Jevons, and Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Bogey?, illustrated by Mike Byrne. Her book Santa’s Special Gift was published by Scholastic in 2020.

Before becoming a children’s author, Jacob worked as a journalist and news correspondent. She won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Regional On-Screen Talent in 2011.
