Catherine Doyle is an Irish author known for her work in children’s and young adult fiction. She studied Psychology and Publishing at university. Doyle’s debut novel, Vendetta, was published in 2015 by Chicken House and is the first book in the Blood for Blood trilogy, followed by Inferno (2016) and Mafiosa (2017).
She is also the author of the middle-grade fantasy series The Storm Keeper’s Island, published by Bloomsbury. The first book in the series, The Storm Keeper’s Island, was released in 2018 and won the Books Are My Bag Readers Award for Children’s Fiction. The series continued with The Lost Tide Warriors (2019) and The Storm Keepers’ Battle (2021).
Doyle has co-authored the Twin Crowns fantasy duology with Katherine Webber. The first book, Twin Crowns, was published by Farshore in 2022, followed by Cursed Crowns in 2023.
Her books have been translated into multiple languages and have received recognition in the UK and Ireland. The Storm Keeper’s Island was shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards and the Carnegie Medal.
In 2023, Doyle published The Miracle on Ebenezer Street, a festive children’s novel. She continues to write for children and young adults, with her work published by major UK publishers including Bloomsbury, Chicken House, and Farshore.
