He is a reporter for The Athletic covering Manchester United, and he hosts the Talk of the Devils podcast. For young readers, he co-wrote Marcus Rashford’s guide You Are a Champion: How to Be the Best You Can Be.
You Are a Champion was published on 28 June 2022, runs to 224 pages, and is aimed at readers aged 9 to 12. The book combines stories from Marcus Rashford’s life with advice and practical tips, including material from performance psychologist Katie Warriner. In 2025, Carl Anka wrote The Magic Balloon, an official World Book Day 2025 picture book published on 6 February 2025 and created in collaboration with Woke Babies.
