Camilla de la Bedoyere is a British author and journalist known for her extensive work in children’s non-fiction, particularly in the fields of science and nature. She has written over 200 books, covering topics such as animals, the environment, and natural history. Her publications include titles for educational series and illustrated reference books aimed at young readers.
De la Bedoyere has contributed to series such as Animal Babies, Life Cycles, and Discover Science. Her books have been published by a range of publishers, including QED Publishing, Miles Kelly, and Arcturus Publishing. She has also written for adults, with works focusing on history and biography.
In addition to her writing, de la Bedoyere has worked as a journalist and editor. She served as a section editor for the children’s science magazine Discovery Box. Her educational background includes a degree in zoology.
Her book Great Animal Migrations was shortlisted for the Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize in 2016.
