Cameron Hardy biography

Cameron Hardy is a co-host of the Casual Preppers Podcast and the co-author of the children’s non-fiction title How to Survive an Apocalypse: The end of the world doesn’t have to be the end of the world, part of the Extreme Survival Guides series for young readers.

How to Survive an Apocalypse, published by Neon Squid in 2026, is an illustrated guide that introduces children to core preparedness skills. The book covers topics such as basic first aid, water purification, assembling an emergency kit and maintaining communication in a crisis, and also presents a range of disaster scenarios, including zombie outbreaks, AI takeovers, supernatural events and alien invasions.

Hardy co-hosts the Casual Preppers Podcast – Prepping, Survival, Entertainment, launched in 2016, with fellow author Coby Coonradt. The podcast focuses on emergency preparedness and survival topics, and provides the platform from which their first book project developed.

Publisher and retailer author notes describe Hardy and Coonradt as preppers who want to help people understand what to do in emergencies and who regard learning how to prepare for disasters as an important life skill for individuals and families. How to Survive an Apocalypse is Hardy’s first published children’s book.
