Ben Lerwill is a British author and travel writer. He has written numerous non-fiction books for children, focusing on geography, nature, and world cultures. Lerwill’s published works include WildLives: 50 Extraordinary Animals that Made History (Nosy Crow, 2019), illustrated by Sarah Walsh, and One World, Many Colours (Words & Pictures, 2020), illustrated by Alette Straathof. He is also the author of Climate Rebels (Puffin, 2021), illustrated by Harriet Lynas, and Wild Cities (Nosy Crow, 2020), illustrated by Harriet Hobday and Léa Maupetit.
Lerwill’s books have been published by major UK publishers including Nosy Crow, Puffin, and Quarto. His work often introduces young readers to global themes, wildlife, and environmental issues. WildLives was longlisted for the UKLA Book Awards in 2021. In addition to his children’s books, Lerwill has contributed travel writing to publications such as The Guardian and National Geographic Traveller.

His book Climate Rebels profiles individuals who have made significant contributions to environmental activism.
