Ali Benjamin is an American author known for her work in children’s and young adult literature. She gained significant recognition with her debut novel, The Thing About Jellyfish, published in 2015 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. The novel was a finalist for the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature in the same year.
Before venturing into fiction, Benjamin co-authored several non-fiction books, including The Keeper: A Life of Saving Goals and Achieving Them with Tim Howard, and The Cleaner Plate Club with Beth Bader. Her writing often explores themes of science, nature, and personal growth.
In 2019, Benjamin published her second novel, The Next Great Paulie Fink, which was also well-received and praised for its engaging storytelling and character development. The book was published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.
