Zaro Weil biography

Zaro Weil is an American-born poet, author, and performer known for her contributions to children’s literature. She has written poetry, stories, and plays for young readers. Weil’s work often explores themes related to nature and the environment. Her poetry collection Cherry Moon, illustrated by Junli Song, was published by Otter-Barry Books in 2019. This collection won the 2020 CLiPPA (Centre for Literacy in Primary Poetry Award), a major UK poetry prize for children’s literature. Weil’s other works include Firecrackers: An Explosion of Poems, Raps and Rhymes and Spot Guevara: Guerrilla Dog.
