Tracey Corderoy is a British children’s author. She has written over 70 books for young readers, including picture books, chapter books, and early readers. Her published works include the Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam series, illustrated by Steven Lenton, and the Hubble Bubble series, illustrated by Joe Berger. Corderoy’s books have been published by Nosy Crow, Little Tiger Press, and Scholastic.
Her debut picture book, Little White Owl, was published in 2010 by Little Tiger Press. The Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam series began in 2013 and has received recognition for its humour and appeal to early readers. Corderoy’s titles have been translated into multiple languages.
She has received several awards, including the Hillingdon Picture Book of the Year Award and the Hounslow Junior Book Award. In 2014, Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. Corderoy’s book Spooky Sleepover won the Oxfordshire Book Award in 2016.
Tracey Corderoy continues to publish new titles, with her books regularly featured in school reading programmes and library collections. Her work has been recognised by the UK Literacy Association and the English Association.
