Núria Tamarit is a Spanish cartoonist and illustrator. Her work includes graphic novels and illustrated children’s non-fiction, with published books in Spanish and English.
Duerme Pueblo, created with Xulia Vicente, is a rural comic about superstition, suspicion and conflict after a body is found in the woods. The book was published on 1 April 2016.
Dos Monedas is a 128-page paperback graphic novel about Mar, a European teenager who travels with her mother to Senegal while her mother works on a project to build a library and a radio station. The book won the first Premi València de Novela Gráfica and was published on 27 February 2019.
El enebro is Tamarit’s comic version of the cruel fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm. The 72-page hardcover was published on 28 August 2020.
Daughters of Snow and Cinders was Tamarit’s English debut and was translated by Jenna Allen. The 216-page hardcover graphic novel follows Joana as she leaves a war-torn homeland, travels to the New World in search of gold and encounters Tala, Opa, Matwei and a fantastical beast; it was published on 4 May 2022.
Tamarit illustrated Myths, Mummies and Magic in Ancient Egypt by Stephen Davies, a comic-strip book containing six Ancient Egyptian myths, including a story about Imhotep and an Assyrian sorcerer. Myths, Mummies and Magic in Ancient Egypt was out by 2026.
