Natasha Mulenga biography

Natasha Mulenga is a journalist and author specialising in music and pop culture, including K-pop and other Asian popular culture. Her journalism has appeared in publications including Teen Vogue, NME and gal-dem, while her music writing has also been published by the Recording Academy’s Grammy.com. She hosts the A Soulful Storm podcast, which covers music and popular culture.

Mulenga is the author of Lizzo: 100% Unofficial – All the Juice on the Entertainer of the Year, a young readers’ guide to the American singer and musician, published by Dean in 2021. The book covers Lizzo’s music, career and public image and forms part of the publisher’s 100% Unofficial range.

She followed it with 100% Unofficial: More Idols of K-Pop, published by Dean, part of Farshore, in 2022. The 64-page children’s non-fiction book introduces readers to K-pop and covers its music, language, fashion and dance alongside groups including BTS, Blackpink, Mamamoo, Monsta X, SuperM, Day6 and TXT. More Idols of K-Pop was published in the UK on 9 June 2022.
