Malcom Duffy is a British author known for writing contemporary fiction for young people. His debut novel, Me Mam. Me Dad. Me., was published by Zephyr, an imprint of Head of Zeus, in 2018. The book explores themes of family and resilience, and it was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in 2019. Duffy’s second novel, Soup, was published by Zephyr in 2023. His work often addresses real-life issues faced by young people, drawing on his background in writing and storytelling. Duffy’s novels have been recognised for their authentic voice and engaging narratives. In 2019, Me Mam. Me Dad. Me. was also shortlisted for the YA Book Prize.
