M.A. Bennett biography

M.A. Bennett is a British author known for writing young adult fiction. She studied History of Art at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, and later trained as an illustrator at the Chelsea College of Art. Bennett’s debut novel, S.T.A.G.S., was published by Hot Key Books in 2017. The book was shortlisted for the YA Book Prize in 2018 and has been translated into multiple languages. S.T.A.G.S. is the first in a series, followed by sequels including D.O.G.S. (2019), F.O.X.E.S. (2020), and R.A.B.B.I.T.S. (2021).

Bennett has also written The Island (2021), a standalone young adult novel, and The Mona Lisa Mystery (2022), which is part of the Museum Mysteries series published by Welbeck Flame. Her books have been published in the UK and internationally. In addition to her writing, Bennett has worked in the film and television industries. S.T.A.G.S. was optioned for film adaptation by Fox 2000.

In 2023, Bennett published Hide and Seek, the fifth book in the S.T.A.G.S. series. Her work has received recognition for its contribution to young adult literature, with S.T.A.G.S. being shortlisted for the YA Book Prize in 2018.
