Lucinda Gifford is a British-born children’s author and illustrator who works in children’s books and graphic novels. She has illustrated over 30 books and has written about seven of them herself. In 2014 she received the Five Mile Press Illustrator Prize. Her picture book Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas was chosen for National Simultaneous Storytime in 2020.
Her own books include Duck Duck Moose (2019), The Wolves of Greycoat Hall (2020), The Wolves of Greycoat Hall: Boris in Switzerland (2023) and Wolves of Greycoat Hall: Tayles of the Forest (2024). As an illustrator, she worked on The Cat Wants Cuddles (2021), The Cat Wants Kittens (2022), Big Dog, Little Dog (2022) and Fairy Tales of Fearless Girls (2020). A later illustrated picture book, Neil, the Amazing Sea Cucumber, is scheduled for publication on 28 April 2026.
