Louise Greig biography

Louise Greig is a poet and children’s picture book author. She won the Caterpillar Children’s Poetry Prize in 2015.

Her debut picture book was The Night Box, published by Egmont and illustrated by Ashling Lindsay. The Night Box was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal and shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize.

Her picture books include Sweep, a story about a child’s bad mood that grows and spreads through a town, illustrated by Júlia Sardà and published in 2018. A Walk Through the Woods, illustrated by Helen Musselwhite, is another book by Greig.

Greig also wrote The Island and the Bear, illustrated by Vanya Nastanlieva and published in 2017; the book is written in gentle verse and is inspired by a true story from the Scottish Hebrides.
