Published by Owlet Press in 2021, Little Glow explores themes of light, hope, and togetherness, following a small flame as it witnesses a variety of cultural and religious festivals. The book is illustrated by Harry Woodgate.
Katie Sahota has a background in public health and is passionate about representation and inclusivity in children’s literature. Her work aims to reflect the diversity of modern society and to encourage empathy and understanding among young readers. Little Glow has been recognised for its inclusive approach, featuring celebrations such as Diwali, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Christmas, and more.
Little Glow was shortlisted for the 2022 British Book Awards in the Children’s Illustrated Book of the Year category.
