Katherine Webber biography

Katherine Webber is an author of children’s and young adult fiction. She grew up in Southern California and has lived in various cities around the world. Webber studied English Literature and Chinese Language at university.

Her debut young adult novel, Wing Jones, was published by Walker Books in 2017. The novel received recognition for its portrayal of family and identity. Webber has also written Only Love Can Break Your Heart, published by Walker Books in 2018, and The Revelry, published by Walker Books in 2022.

In addition to her solo work, Katherine Webber co-authors the YA fantasy series The Princess and the Scoundrel with her husband, Kevin Tsang, under the name Katie and Kevin Tsang. Together, they have also written the Sam Wu Is Not Afraid series and the Dragon Realm series for younger readers, both published by Egmont and Simon & Schuster.

Webber’s novel Wing Jones was shortlisted for the 2018 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize.
