Jeff Kinney biography

Jeff Kinney is an American author and cartoonist, best known for his children’s book series Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The series began as an online publication on Funbrain.com in 2004, where it gained significant popularity. The first book in the series was published in print by Amulet Books in 2007. Since then, Kinney has released numerous sequels, with the series selling over 250 million copies worldwide.

Kinney’s work has been recognised with several awards. In 2009, he was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series has also been adapted into a successful film franchise, with the first movie released in 2010.

In addition to his writing, Kinney is the creator of the children’s website Poptropica, which features a variety of online games and activities. He continues to contribute to the development of the site.
