G.P. Taylor is a British author and Anglican priest, best known for his children’s and young adult fiction. His debut novel, Shadowmancer, was published in 2002 by Faber and Faber. The book achieved significant commercial success, reaching number one on the New York Times Best Seller list for children’s books. Shadowmancer has been translated into multiple languages and was optioned for film adaptation.
Taylor followed this with Wormwood in 2004, also published by Faber and Faber. Wormwood entered the UK children’s bestsellers list and was translated into several languages. His subsequent works include Tersias (2005), The Curse of Salamander Street (2006), and Maranatha (2007). Taylor has also written the Dopple Ganger Chronicles, a series combining prose and graphic novel elements, published by Tyndale House.
In addition to his novels, Taylor has written for radio and contributed to various anthologies. His books have received nominations for several literary awards, and Shadowmancer won the Yorkshire Book of the Year Award in 2003.
G.P. Taylor’s work is published by Faber and Faber, Tyndale House, and other major publishers. His most recent publications include further titles in the Dopple Ganger Chronicles series.
