Emery Lord biography

Emery Lord is an American author of contemporary young adult fiction. Her novels often explore themes of friendship, identity and resilience, set against realistic backdrops.

Her debut novel, Open Road Summer (2014), follows a teenage girl on tour with a country singer friend. This was followed by The Start of Me and You (2015), When We Collided (2016), which won the Schneider Family Book Award, and The Names They Gave Us (2017). Her books have been published by Bloomsbury in the US and UK.

When We Collided received the Schneider Family Book Award from the American Library Association in 2017.
