Corey Egbert is an American illustrator, graphic designer and author whose work spans picture books and a YA graphic novel. He is represented by the Tugeau 2 agency.
Egbert earned a BA at Southern Virginia University and pursued graduate work in illustration at Syracuse University. He cites lithographic illustration from the 1930s and 1940s among his aesthetic influences.
His debut author-illustrated YA graphic novel Visitations was published in 2024 by Henry Holt. The title received starred reviews and appeared on lists such as Kirkus Reviews’ Best Books of the Year.
Egbert’s clients include Disney, Scholastic, Macmillan, Penguin Random House and HarperCollins. He has illustrated works by other authors, such as I Survived the Attacks of September 11, 2001 by Lauren Tarshis and Day-Old Child by Carol Lynn Pearson.
Awards and recognition for Visitations include its selection as a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year.
