Colette Hiller biography

Colette Hiller is a writer and creative producer known for her work in children’s literature and public art projects. She is the creator of the Talking Statues project, which launched in London in 2014 and allows passers-by to use their smartphones to hear famous statues speak, with scripts written by well-known authors and actors providing the voices. Hiller has also worked on a range of creative initiatives aimed at engaging the public with the arts.

In addition to her public art work, Colette Hiller has written for children. She is the author of The B on Your Thumb: 60 Poems to Boost Reading and Spelling, published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books in 2020. The book, illustrated by Tor Freeman, uses rhymes and wordplay to help children develop literacy skills.

Hiller’s career also includes experience as a performer and producer, and she has contributed to various creative projects in the UK. Her book The B on Your Thumb was published in 2020.
