Charlotte Milner biography

Charlotte Milner is a British author and illustrator known for her non-fiction children’s books focusing on nature and the environment. She studied illustration at Kingston University. Milner’s debut book, The Bee Book, was published by DK in 2018. The book introduces children to the importance of bees and pollination, combining factual information with distinctive illustrations.

Following the success of her first title, Milner authored and illustrated The Sea Book (2019), which explores marine life and the impact of plastic pollution on oceans. In 2020, she published The Bat Book, providing information about bat species and their ecological significance. Her books are published by DK and are part of a series that aims to educate young readers about environmental issues through accessible text and engaging visuals.

Milner’s work has been translated into multiple languages and is used in educational settings to support learning about wildlife and conservation. The Bee Book was shortlisted for the 2019 English 4–11 Picture Book Awards. Her books are recognised for their factual content and visual appeal.

In 2022, Milner published The Penguin Book, which introduces children to the world of penguins and their habitats.
