Casey McQuiston is an American author known for writing young adult and new adult fiction. McQuiston’s debut novel, Red, White & Royal Blue, was published by St. Martin’s Griffin in 2019. The book became a New York Times bestseller and won the 2020 Alex Award from the American Library Association. It also received the 2019 Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance.

McQuiston’s second novel, One Last Stop, was published in 2021 by St. Martin’s Griffin. The book was a New York Times bestseller and was nominated for the 2021 Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance.

In 2022, McQuiston released I Kissed Shara Wheeler with Wednesday Books. This novel marked McQuiston’s first foray into young adult fiction and was longlisted for the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature in 2022.
